Frequently asked questions
How can I donate more to the animals?

Why should I use All-Natural soap?
Many commercial and brand name soaps and body washes are not soap at all. Many contain chemicals and can be classified as detergents just like your laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, and all-purpose cleaners. The use of chemicals such as Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS), and Parabens is commonplace and has been linked to harmful side effects from dry irritated skin to reproductive, immunological, neurological and organ malfunction as well as cancer. The natural glycerin (which gives soap it’s moisturizing and soothing properties) is stripped from many commercial “soaps” and sold in higher end moisturizing products and lotions. Sadly there are also some companies that claim to be “all-natural” that also add these chemicals to their products. But at Sabot Street Soap we are committed to making our products free from ANY chemical and lab derived ingredients. Rest assured that you will always receive quality products that will protect and nourish your skin.
Why don’t you use Palm oil?
Palm oil has been criticized for it’s for it’s contribution to deforestation, species extinction, and climate change. Although there is some debate over “sustainable” palm oil, and many of our competitors claim to use such ingredients, these claims are not regulated. Palm oil is primarily used as a CHEAP substitute but we found that there were no added benefits to our soap that we could not achieve with other oils. And that’s why when it comes to palm oil you can leave “meow-t”.
How is your packaging “eco=friendly”?
Here at Sabot Street Soap Co we strive to make use of recycled/recyclable and compostable materials for our shipping, packaging, and labeling. We are continually trying to eliminate, or at very least reduce, the use of plastic and other non-biodegradable materials. Many packaging an labels are coated with plastic or utilize harmful chemical glues. Our labels may not shimmer and shine like the others’ but we consider it a small price to pay for helping to clean up our home, the Earth. Whether by using cornstarch based shipping tape or biodegradable corn derived “bio plastics” we aim for a more PURR-fect world!
